The Hollywood Special Effects Show Comes to the East Coast for the First time January 31 at May PAC
Morristown, NJ – Audiences are getting a chance to get closer than ever to their favorite scenes from big-budget blockbuster movies! The Hollywood Special Effects Show is bringing an interactive, explosive, family-friendly experience to Mayo Performing Arts Center on January 31st.
Tickets are available at MayoArts.org or by calling 973-539-8008 and start at $20.
Live on stage, this show gives illuminating insights into the world of special effects that are usually confined to movie theaters and television screens — taking families on an exciting journey that will let them feel the heat of an inferno, marvel at fantastical sci-fi monsters, and be blown away by huge explosions! Think Mythbusters meets Universal Studios as the show demonstrates the science and secrets of creating movie magic.
The British media (Henley Times) called it an “extravaganza of pyrotechnics,” and that “we were on the edge of our seats with anticipation and were repeatedly rewarded.” The Scunthorpe Telegraph claims “Movie magic and screen secrets came to life in the Hollywood Special Effects Show,” and “The kids clearly love the action. I would recommend this show for families and anyone with a child interested in film.”
Producer Alex Jarrett is quoted saying “Having developed the show over 2 years of touring the UK it’s exciting to bring it home with some incredible special effects and ‘Jurassic’ size surprises. The show’s aimed at kids 5 to 15 but there really is something for everyone”
A theatrical experience like no other — The Hollywood Special Effects Show: Dangerously Exciting.
