Director David Boorboor signs with MAM Entertainment
December 21, 2012 – MAM Entertainment, LLC has signed director David Boorboor for exclusive US commercial representation. “We have been watching David for the last couple of years,” says MAM CEO Mark Elson. “He is a filmmaker’s, filmmaker. David has developed an impressive resume over the past 12 years and the reaction to his work has been outstanding”.
In 2001 David graduated from Rowan University, the only senior to receive The Robert Donovan Award for excellence in Radio, TV and Film. The same year David earned the Premiere Filmmaker award at the Atlantic City Film Festival and in 2003 won Best Director at the Atlantic City Film Festival. The next few years David honed his craft by producing and directing documentaries with the DEA, corporate commercials and features with the likes of Suzanne DeLaurentiis. David brings a creative and stylized approach to filmmaking. Philadelphia based film critic Paul Perkins states, “David has infused his storytelling with his vision of dramatic flair and ability to move people”.
In 2010, David collaborated with MAM Entertainment to write and direct a short film subject for a national theatre competition that went on to win first place. Boorboor stated, “I am excited to be working with MAM and Mark Elson as my manager. He understands my goals creatively and personally so it was a logical choice for me for management. Not only is he excellent when it comes to my business interests, I trust him like I would a close personal friend”. David has co-written a supernatural thriller story for his feature film directorial debut. The film is slated for theatrical release in 2014

MAM, standing for “Met at Movies” is an acronym referring to the many relationships built by CEO Mark Elson during his past tenure of 16years in movie theatre exhibition. The company provides film packaging, funding resources and producer’s representation.
